2. Website delivery and server log data

When you visit this website, our hosting provider Netlify, Inc. processes technical access data. This includes, in particular, your IP address, date and time of access, requested file or URL, referrer URL, HTTP status code, browser and operating-system information. Processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and without technical errors and to prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable delivery of our online services.

Netlify, Inc. acts as hosting and forms provider. Data may also be processed in third countries, in particular the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in Chapter V GDPR, in particular the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, an adequacy decision. Server log data is retained only for as long as necessary for these purposes.

3. Contact form and contacting us

If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process your information to handle and answer your request. The contact form collects first name, last name, email address, optional telephone number, subject and message.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns entering into or performing a contract. Otherwise, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the proper handling of incoming requests.

Data is received through Netlify Forms. A new submission is notified to n.schoenfeld@maschinen-handel.eu. Required fields are necessary to send the form. The Netlify intake copy is deleted no later than 90 days after the request has been conclusively handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. “Sell your machine” form

You can request a purchase assessment through the “Sell your machine” form. We process company name, contact person, email address, optional telephone number, manufacturer, model and year of manufacture, as well as the documents and images you upload. Processing serves to assess and handle your request, communicate with you and, where applicable, prepare a business relationship.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns pre-contractual measures; otherwise, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR applies based on our legitimate interest in handling purchase enquiries. The required information and documents are necessary for a complete assessment. Without them, we may be unable to process the request or may only be able to process it to a limited extent.

Data and uploads are received through Netlify Forms. A new submission is notified to n.schoenfeld@maschinen-handel.eu. The Netlify intake copy is deleted no later than twelve months after the request has been conclusively handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Analytics with Umami Cloud

We use Umami Cloud, a service of Umami Software, Inc., to analyse the use of our website statistically. This includes, in particular, pages and URLs visited, referrers, page titles, browser type, operating system, device type, screen size, language and session information derived from technical data. According to Umami, the IP address is used to determine location information but is not stored. The Umami script used on this website does not use cookies.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is privacy-conscious audience measurement and improving our website. The selected data region for this website is the EU. Under the Hobby plan, analytics data is retained for six months and then deleted in line with the service configuration. More information: Umami Privacy.

6. YouTube videos

Individual machine detail pages contain a YouTube video. When such a page is called up, the video preview is already loaded from YouTube. This may allow YouTube or Google to process your IP address, technical information and the page visited. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the appealing presentation of video content related to the offer.

The actual YouTube video is only loaded when you actively select “Load video”. If you also select “Remember choice”, this choice is stored in your browser’s local storage for that video. Once the video is loaded, Google/YouTube’s privacy policies also apply. Google processes data worldwide and processing in the United States is possible. 7. No customer account and no online checkout

Maschinen-Handel.eu currently does not operate a customer account or an automatic online checkout. Enquiries and purchase requests are handled individually as contact or order requests. This website does not provide customers with publicly accessible order or enquiry histories.

8. Recipients and retention periods

We use the service providers named in this policy to deliver the website, receive forms and measure reach. Data is disclosed to other recipients only where necessary to handle your request, perform a contract, comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Unless a specific period is stated, we retain personal data only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose.

9. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right of access to personal data relating to you, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected.
